Samsung has followed its handsets metal bodied Galaxy A3 and A5 complete with a slightly larger 5.5 - Inch brother, the Galaxy A7.
The Galaxy A7 completes the range of Samsung Galaxy smartphones in the series A, introduced last year, aimed at buyers who prefer metal over plastic and "sophisticated design" more advanced features.
Looks-wise, the A7 is essentially the same as the Galaxy A3 and A5, two almost identical devices with full aluminum unibody construction. Phones referenced design elements of the Galaxy Note and Galaxy Alpha 4, but did not have their high-end specifications and fell well short of any comparison with the IPhone 6.
Samsung has, however, given the A7 grunt more than the A3 and A5, who had both 1.2GHz QuadCore processors. Instead, the Galaxy has a octacore A7 processor, 1.8GHz and 1.3GHz compound QuadCore quad core, while the dual SIM variant 1.5GHz Quad Core 1 GHz.
5.5 Inch HD Super AMOLED screen A7 is tied with the A5. Like its siblings, the A7 also comes with LTE Category 4, supporting download speeds of up to 150Mbps and 50Mbps upload to help consumers download selfies twisted with "broad Selfie 'Samsung or characteristics" face beauty. "Other key features include auto-focus front camera 13 megapixel rear camera of five megapixels.
The device also comes with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage under construction, and a microSD slot on the side that supports up to 64GB of additional memory. To support the larger screen and extra power, the phone comes with a 2600 mAh capacity battery. In particular, the A3 and A5 came with non-removable batteries.
The A7 is on the thin side: 6.3 mm deep, it's a half a millimeter thinner than the IPhone 6 and thinner than the A5 and A3. Yet he did not quite crack depth of 4.85mm Oppo R5. Otherwise, the A7 weighs 141g with dimensions of 151mm long and 76.2mm wide.
The Galaxy A7 is available in black, white, gold and will ship with Android KitKat, but we can assume it will get an update of Lollipop at some point in the future.
The latest Samsung device comes as the company tries to cope with the declining profits of its smartphone business and puts more emphasis on the Chinese and Indian markets. A3 and A5 motorways were both launched in China first, and got a second launch in India last week alongside the new mid range Galaxy and Galaxy E5 E7.
Samsung did not say which markets Galaxy A7 will be available, and has not given a release date.
