Steve Jobs may have rejected the stylus as an input device in the Apple IPad deployment, but the digital pen has survived and even looks like it's starting to thrive. Microsoft promoted the stylus that comes with its Surface Pro tablet like an iPad's key differentiator, and perhaps the ultimate sign of the continued viability of the digitizer, Apple itself has recently patented a pen motion detection.
Toshiba hopes to capitalize on this trend with its latest notebook, a Windows Device trio that put the digital pen in the center of the user experience. These include the Portege Ultrabook Z20t (photo above) and a pair of two Encore Write tablets, which all come with a scanner with 2048 points sensitivity. The Z20t has Digitizer Pen with Eraser Toshiba, while Toshiba tablets have TruPen making use of the technology of Wacom pen Electrostatics active.
The Z20t is based around a 12.5-inch display with 1,920x1,080 detachable (HD 1080p) resolution and powered by an Intel Core M-5Y51. Other features include up to 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of solid state storage, spill-resistant keyboard and Windows 8.1 (pre-loaded) or Windows 7 Professional (you can go back to) . He is wearing a black magnesium alloy, and as you would expect from a Ultrabook weighs just 3.3 pounds with the attached keyboard. Fixing hinge on the pier is reversible, allowing you to place the screen presentation.
Perhaps most notable is the life of the battery Toshiba says that you get when the Z20t is attached to the keyboard dock: a huge 17.4 hours. You can order the Z20t from a starting price of $ 1,399.99 (4GB RAM, 128GB SSD) from the Toshiba website with a shipping date of February 20th.
Write the Two more series comes in 8-inch and 10.1-inch sizes, each with a 1,280x800 resolution and featuring an Intel Atom Z3735F processor, 2GB of RAM and 64GB of storage in the solid state. Both ships with Windows 8.1 with Bing, which means they come with a one year subscription to Office 365. However, this does not amount to a bargain price, the 8-inch Two more Write is available at price of $ 349.99 and the 10-inch model is priced at $ 399.99 price.
You get a collection of Toshiba Applications for the price, as TruNote to use this TruPen for markup document or drawing, TruCapture to scan and perform OCR on the text, and TruRecorder for audio archiving.
